The three sons of  Jacob William Oeste and Anna Katherine Vogt. Jo
hanne Heinrich Oeste (pictured right) along with his two brothers William (left), David Theodore (center), changed his name to John Henry Oeste when he came to the United States from Germany and eventually to Sacramento in 1868. His parents also immigrated to Yolo County from their homeland.

The only son of Adolph and Sadie Oeste, Laverne Adolph Oeste 1916-1987.
Ethel Wildah Heidrick Oeste 1914-2001. Married Laverne Adolph Oeste in 1938. 
Sharlene Oeste Stahl 1941-2021. Sharlene was the last born Oeste, one of Laverne and Ethel Oeste’s two daughters, and a fighter for her family’s farm heritage and legacy. Her family still owns property in a partnership that continues to produce crops near Davis along W. Covell Blvd. between County Roads 98 and 99.
